ORS™ - Launch and recovery below the water surface
Sepro™ Overhead Rails System ORS™ HD™ is a ceiling mounted handling system for launch and recovery of ROV assemblies. The ORS™ solution have great advantages in form of increased lowering capabilities and clean deck area. In addition the ORS™ allows the hangar doors to be closed in lower section during operations.

The ORS™ consists of six main parts:
• Main Beam Frame
• Guide Rails
• Lifting Boom
• Extension Frame
• Snubber Unit Assembly
The main beam assembly is fixed to the hangar ceiling. On this beam frame, the moveable console runs back and forth, carrying the lifting boom, extension frame and snubber.
The snubber extension moves along the lifting arm, and is intended for easy landing of the ROV on the deck, giving the ability to split the ROV assembly. The ROV can be landed on the deck with the ROV latched to the snubber. The snubber with rotating function is connected to the snubber extension.
The snubber can be rotated approx. 160° to get the ROV in position for landing.
Both the lifting boom and the snubber can be driven along the vertical rails and further down along the shipside rails. The ROV can be lowered toward the water surface before unlatch and launching. The launch and recovery can then be done at lowest possible height, giving an increased weather operating window.
